How I became a professional cornhole player

Hi my name is Jordan Camba, and I am a professional cornhole player. Cornhole is one of those games that most may play at a backyard cookout, or even a wedding. But im different I play for the competitiveness, and of course the money. I was introduced to the sport of cornhole through my friends at a party, I realized that I had somewhat of a natural talent for the game. I think all my years of being a baseball pitcher and countless hours of lessons of learning to mimic myself every pitch and develop muscle memory has put me to the top of the sport of cornhole. In the end that is what separates a good cornhole player from an average one. After playing with friends at cookouts and party’s I found out that certain bars around Hampton roads would have blind draw tournaments. These blind draw tournaments would cost $5 or $10 to get into and your name gets put into a hat and whoever drew you was your partner for the night. At first when I went to these bars to play I was so shocked to see how these guys played and how good they were. At first when these guys would draw me as a partner I could tell they were upset because they got the not so good guy or as professionals like to call them “bar flies” who has never played before, and of course these guys were ten times better than me and whoever drew me we tended to lose really quick. Being my competitive self I didn’t stop, at the time all I wanted was to be good and start making money playing this game. So that’s what I did I spent countless hours practicing and becoming the best that I could. Eventually I got good enough to compete with these guys and became friends with most. They then introduced me to what is called the ACO (American Cornhole Organization). The story of how I became a sponsored professional player goes on.
